Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd is seeking a General Builder to join our on-site team in Plymouth. You will lead and coordinate multi-skilled construction work, bringing expertise from bricklaying to drainage while ensuring safety and quality on each project.

Travel to project sites is required, and you will work closely with Project Managers to deliver high-standard restoration work for the insurance and environmental sectors.

Qualifications

• A construction professional with multi-skilled experience and ability to take charge.
• Strong organisational and planning skills for day-to-day site activities.
• Clean driving license and willingness to travel.
• Willingness to travel and work away as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site teams to deliver projects to high standards.
• Apply multi-skilled construction techniques from bricklaying to underpinning and drainage.
• Operate machinery such as mini diggers and dumpers.
• Mix concrete, demolish, dig, and restore residential properties to their original condition.
• Use demolition hammers and jigsaws and follow PPE/HAVS safety rules.
• Travel to project sites and collaborate with Project Managers.
