Overview

First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading equipment manufacturer seeking a Field Service Engineer based in and around Glasgow.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• This is a field-based role, involving visiting customer sites and providing excellent customer service.
• Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, repairs, installation, calibration/verification of weighing equipment across various industries such as aggregates, cement, agriculture, environmental services, and food production.
• The equipment ranges from small scales to large industrial weighbridges.

Skills and Qualifications:

• At least four years of field service experience, preferably with a weighing background.
• Electrical/mechanical field experience, with qualifications preferred.
• Good PC skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Self-management skills for tools and vehicle stock.
• Valid UK driving license.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience in repair and calibration of weighing equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
• Understanding of networking (Ethernet, RS485, etc.).

Additional Information:

Salary: £26,000 – £36,000 DOE + overtime; OTE £31,000 – £41,000. Working hours: 39 hours/week plus overtime. Benefits include training, pension, private healthcare, lunch allowance, company van, workwear, and ongoing training opportunities. Holiday entitlement starts at 22 days, increasing to 25 plus bank holidays.
