Job Description:

We are looking to recruit a Multiskilled Facilities Technician to work on the day shift within the Facilities department. The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week, onsite at our Bradford Plant.

The successful candidate will be:

• Responsible for adhering to all relevant standards and legal requirements.
• Support the execution of Risk Assessments, Safety Walks (operations), 5S audits and Layered Audits (operational) associated with scope of facilities role.
• Responsible for ensuring that the working areas is left in a safe and clean state after completing a task.
• Responsible for the disposal of any waste according to environmental guidelines.
• Responsible for escalating any concerns about non-confirming activities (including processes) utilities and facilities.
• Responsible for Work Instruction updates and amendments.
• Responsible for the adoption of lean philosophies, lean processes, and improvement / CI activities.
• Participate in consultation for internal and external non-compliance matters.
• Responsible for the upkeep of facilities and standards at the Bradford Plant.
• Responsible for arranging and hosting external contractors.
• Responsible for creating and issuing of Permits to Work for relevant contractors.
• Responsible for facilities project work and support other projects where skills allow.
• Responsible for minor building works.
• Support with the installation and commissioning of new utilities and facilities.
• Responsible for the booking in and out of spare parts.
• Responsible for self-allocation of tasks using the PM notification system.
• Responsible for creating PM notifications for own tasks (and others if applicable).
• Support the positive culture and upholding BorgWarner Beliefs and Behaviours including DE&I.

Required knowledge and experience:

• Basic level of general education.
• 1+ years of related experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment.
• PC literate including MS Office.
• Previous experience of using ERP System (preferred).
• Basic D.I.Y skills; stud wall’s, plastering etc.
• Hold a recognized (certified) qualification in one of the following disciplines: Plumbing, F-Gas or Gas Safe.
