Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Bristol is seeking a Multi Skilled Fabric/Mechanical Engineer to deliver high-quality maintenance across building systems, ensuring SLA compliance and reliable operation.

You'll perform mechanical and fabric works on boilers, pumps, AHUs and BMS, maintain records, and liaise with clients, while prioritising safety and clear communication. The role requires practical hands-on skills and the ability to work with handheld CAFM devices to log tasks and updates.

Qualifications

• HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Demonstrable experience in mechanical and fabric role.
• Strong communication skills and IT literacy; able to obtain SC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance and reactive activity on Mechanical Building Services equipment (boilers, pumps, AHUs, BMS, etc.).
• Carry out fabric maintenance and repairs (plumbing, heating systems, tiling, flooring).
• Maintain inspection logs, remedial reports, and communicate updates to clients; ensure Health & Safety compliance and use CAFM handheld devices.

We're looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer with Mechanical & Fabric experience who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to maintenance schedules.

Role Responsibilities:

Undertake maintenance and reactive activity, to a wide range of Mechanical Building Services equipment including but not limited to heating boilers, pumps, compressed air systems, sanitary ware, fan coil and air handling units and BMS systems and other equipment found in modern commercial/industrial premises.

Undertake within your levels of competency inspection and reactive activity to a wide range of mechanical maintenance. Deliver building fabric maintenance and repairs including plumbing, heating systems, tiling, flooring.

Painting, and patch works.

Carry out minor mechanical/electrical repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs). Maintain inspection logs, remedial reports, and communicate updates to clients. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and maintain equipment condition & use of IT systems (Handheld device) as part of the CAFM system.
