Job summary

Mitie Group plc. seeks a Multi Skilled Fabric/Mechanical Engineer in Bristol to deliver high standard maintenance across mechanical and fabric systems. You will handle reactive tasks, PPMs, and minor repairs while maintaining logs and communicating with clients.

The role requires HND/NVQ or equivalent and proven experience in mechanical and fabric work, plus strong IT skills. Applicants must be able to obtain SC clearance and work on site in Bristol.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in mechanical and fabric role.
• Strong communication skills and IT literacy for task recording and updates.
• SC clearance eligibility or ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance and reactive activity on mechanical building services equipment (heating boilers, pumps, air systems, sanitary ware, FCUs, AHUs, BMS).
• Carry out inspections and reactive maintenance within competency levels.
• Provide building fabric maintenance and repairs (plumbing, heating, tiling, flooring, painting) and minor mech/elec repairs; perform PPMs.
• Maintain inspection logs and remedial reports; communicate updates to clients.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and CAFM system usage.

Role: Multi Skilled Fabric/Mechanical Engineer Hours: 40 hrs/weekLocation: Bristol, BS34 7QW, At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer with Mechanical & Fabric experience who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to maintenance schedules.

Role Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance and reactive activity, to a wide range of Mechanical Building Services equipment including but not limited to heating boilers, pumps, compressed air systems, sanitary ware, fan coil and air handling units and BMS systems and other equipment found in modern commercial/industrial premises.
• Undertake within your levels of competency inspection and reactive activity to a wide range of mechanical maintenance.
• Deliver building fabric maintenance and repairs including plumbing, heating systems, tiling, flooring, painting, and patch works.Carry out minor mechanical/electrical repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).
• Maintain inspection logs, remedial reports, and communicate updates to clients.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and maintain equipment condition & use of IT systems (Handheld device) as part of the CAFM system.
