Engineering Role at a Leading Biotech Client

A leading biotech client in the Hertfordshire area is looking for Multi Skilled Engineers to join their engineering team on a permanent basis. The role involves working on a Panama pattern of early and late shifts.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position will be responsible for ensuring reliable and compliant operation of site services and equipment, as well as providing engineering support within the team on critical utilities such as HVAC, Air Handling Units, BMS, EMS, Medical Gases, and Compressed Air Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support maintenance activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls.
  2. Ensure documentation and data are completed in accordance with statutory, H&S, and GxP standards.
  3. Create maintenance procedures, including writing SOPs.
  4. Respond to and diagnose faults, and repair equipment breakdowns.
  5. Conduct risk assessments prior to maintenance work.
  6. Support fault finding, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions.
  7. Manage critical spares requirements, review supply and storage needs.
  8. Manage specific maintenance and project activities.
Candidate Requirements:

Ideal candidates will have experience working to GMP standards within a regulated environment and proven experience maintaining and supporting critical site equipment. Candidates should be multi-skilled and possess a professional engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or City & Guilds.
