Job description

Scantec Recruitment is partnering with a leading FMCG Manufacturer based in Harlow to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer for their night shift engineering team. Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will provide engineering support through planned and reactive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and reduce quality issues. The role also involves continuous improvement of machinery, equipment, and operational methods in alignment with the company's strategic goals.

Candidate Profile:

Mechanical or Electrical bias considered. Experience in food or FMCG sectors is desirable but not essential. Candidates with backgrounds in fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environments are encouraged to apply. Comprehensive training on machinery and products will be provided, along with an in-depth onboarding program. The company also supports further engineering training and courses as needed.

Hours / Shifts:
  • Monday to Friday, 10pm - 6am
  • Overtime opportunities available
  • Flexibility to cover other shifts or holidays as required
Core Responsibilities:
  1. Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs of plant machinery and equipment
  2. Adherence to statutory checks and GMP standards
  3. Participation in engineering and capital projects
  4. Maintenance of stores and engineering documentation
  5. Supporting and training team members in maintenance tasks
  6. Engaging in training and up-skilling programs as directed
  7. Effective communication during team reviews, meetings, and shift handovers
Required Skills & Experience:

Applicants should have relevant Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-skilled engineering experience, with qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
