Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking a hands-on Multiskilled Engineer to join our Engineering team in Linton. The role focuses on maintaining equipment, responding to breakdowns, and driving improvements to minimise downtime.

The successful candidate will deliver PPM, diagnose faults, and support site services across a busy operation. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar maintenance role, strong fault-finding skills, and practical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC systems,

Qualifications

• Strong experience in a similar engineering/maintenance role.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC systems.
• Strong mechanical skills with electrical understanding.
• Proficient with computer systems and maintenance software.
• Able to work independently and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Maintain site services including boilers, water systems, cooling, and fabrication equipment.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Record all maintenance work using CMMS.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support smooth site operations.

Multiskilled Engineer

Location: Linton

Hours: Rotating shift pattern across Sunday to Saturday - average 40 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Multiskilled Engineer to join our Engineering team in Linton. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in ensuring our operations run smoothly, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

You will be responsible for maintaining equipment, responding to breakdowns, and identifying opportunities to continuously improve performance across the site.

What You'll Be Doing

• Delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise equipment reliability
• Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns and faults
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues
• Supporting and maintaining site services, including boilers, water systems, cooling, and fabrication equipment
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Recording all maintenance work accurately using a computerised maintenance system (CMMS)
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support smooth site operations

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience in a similar engineering/maintenance role
