About the Role:
We are working with a forward-thinking food manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, efficiency, and innovation. Their King's Lynn site plays a vital role in our production operations, and they're committed to investing in our people and equipment to ensure the highest standards are met.
Our client is looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join their on-site Engineering Team in King’s Lynn.
Working on a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights), you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of site machinery and production processes. You’ll focus on planned maintenance, fast response to breakdowns, and supporting continuous improvement projects to drive reliability and efficiency across the site.
You’ll also take part in regular performance reviews and short interval control meetings to ensure high standards are consistently met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance across site machinery and equipment
Provide fast and efficient response to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime
Contribute to site improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing changes to enhance performance
Work collaboratively with production and engineering colleagues during daily and weekly performance reviews
Use the site’s Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to log and record all engineering tasks accurately
Communicate effectively with internal departments and external contractors to maintain strong working relationships
Maintain high levels of hygiene and safety in line with company policies and food safety standards
What We’re Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (essential)
Experience in a food manufacturing environment (desirable)
Strong fault-finding skills with working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC systems
Computer literate with experience using CMMS (desirable)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and flexible approach to work with a strong team ethic
IOSH certification is desirable but not essential
