We are recruiting for an experienced Gas Engineer to work with a range of Mitie clients, carrying out maintenance and repair tasks, including fabric & basic electrical work of buildings as required under contract. The role involves ensuring all PPM and Reactive tasks meet contractual & legislative standards, completing all necessary paperwork within deadlines.
You will carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, ensuring all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed timely, and all certification is correctly documented. As a Gas Engineer, you'll also handle reactive and emergency tasks, using handheld technology effectively.
Candidates must be on a call-out rota for out-of-hours client support and assist team members as directed. You should proactively source additional opportunities or works on-site, provide quotes, and monitor subcontractors' work quality and safety standards, issuing permits and controlling small works as needed.
Applicants should have substantial experience with maintenance, testing, and fault finding on plant equipment such as gas boilers, heating systems, pumps, and ventilation.
The ideal candidate will hold relevant gas qualifications, including COCN1, CCN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CODNCO1, and possess a full UK Driving License.
