We are recruiting an experienced Gas Engineer to work with a range of Mitie clients, carrying out maintenance and repair tasks, including fabric and basic electrical work in buildings as required under contract. The role involves ensuring all PPM and reactive tasks meet contractual and legislative standards, and that all paperwork is completed and submitted within designated timescales.

The Gas Engineer will perform Planned Preventative Maintenance, complete necessary reports, and ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed on time. They will also ensure all certifications are correctly filled out, remedial works are identified, quoted, and completed where applicable. Additionally, the role includes reactive and emergency tasks, which must be completed efficiently using handheld technology.

Candidates must be available for a call-out rota to provide out-of-hours support to clients and assist team members as directed by a Supervisor or Contract Manager. The role requires a proactive approach to sourcing additional opportunities or work on-site, providing information for quotes, and monitoring subcontractors regarding work standards and health and safety compliance. The successful candidate will also issue permits and control small works as needed.
