A dynamic manufacturing company is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to maintain and improve equipment and infrastructure. Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 2 Mechanical Engineering qualification, Level 3 preferred.

Overview

Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) | Location: Waltham Abbey, Essex | Contract Type: Permanent | Salary: £54,000 - £59,000

Are you a versatile and experienced engineer looking for a new challenge in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our client’s team, responsible for maintaining and improving equipment and site infrastructure at a busy manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain and improve production processes and building services.
  • Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Develop, test, and evaluate engineering designs.
  • Resolve complex technical issues in collaboration with manufacturing teams.
  • Liaise with contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Manage engineering projects using sound principles and techniques.
  • Plan and design new production processes.
  • Produce specifications and design documentation.
  • Consider cost, safety, and time constraints in all engineering decisions.
  • Respond promptly to faults and breakdowns.
  • Monitor and commission plant and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with company legislation and safety standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments for engineering tasks.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as required.
Person Specification

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

  • Mechanical Engineering (Level 2 minimum, Level 3 preferred)
  • Electrical Installations (2346-3 or 2365-3; 2357 desirable)
  • Testing & Inspection
  • IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
  • PLC Fault Finding & Programming (Allen Bradley / Siemens)
