Overview

Multi-Skilled Engineer (Commissioning Experience) – Location: Rochester, Kent • Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (DOE) • Hours: Days, Monday to Friday • Industry: FMCG / Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical support during installation and commissioning of machinery
• Carrying out fault finding, testing, and modifications during commissioning phases
• Working alongside project and production teams to ensure seamless handover of new assets
• Supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown response
• Contributing to continuous improvement and root cause analysis
• Ensuring all work complies with site H&S and quality standards

What\u2019s Looking For / Requirements

• Time-served or qualified multi-skilled engineer (electrical/mechanical bias considered)
• Proven experience commissioning production machinery in an FMCG or manufacturing setting
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and hands-on repair skills
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled systems is an advantage
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Flexible and proactive mindset
