Job summary

Avara Foods is seeking a proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer for our Caistor site in Lincolnshire. You will work on planned maintenance and reactive repairs to ensure smooth factory operations, with a focus on electrical bias and strong mechanical knowledge.

You’ll contribute to continual process improvements, maintain audit-ready records, and support a safe, efficient maintenance function on a 4 on 4 off, 06:00–18:00 schedule in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a multi-disciplined Engineer.
• Electrical bias with mechanical knowledge.
• Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience in food or FMCG industry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive breakdown repairs.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
• Record all documentation accurately and on time.
• Improve equipment reliability, stamping out recurring faults.
• Ensure audit-ready records are kept.

About The Role

As an inclusive, forward thinking business, we take pride in our approach to Engineering across Avara Foods and are looking for a highly competent and motivated, Electrically biased, Engineer to join our maintenance team, based at our Caistor site in Lincolnshire.

Purpose Of The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be key player in ensuring the consistent smooth running of factory machinery including planned maintenance and reactive repairs, along with continually looking for ways to improve future processes.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as a Multi-Skilled Engineer will include:

• Performing reactive breakdown repairs.
• Carrying our planned preventative maintenance
• Recording all documentation accurately and on time.
• Improving equipment reliability, stamping out recurring faults.
• Ensuring “audit ready” records are kept.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience as a multi-disciplined Engineer.
• An electrical bias with sound mechanical knowledge.
• Engineering Apprenticeship or qualifications at Level 3 or equivalent.
• Previous experience within the food or FMCG industry would be beneficial.

Working Hours

A 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

06:00 - 18:00, Days only.
