Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for the correction, prevention, and elimination of technical problems on-site.
  • Work with production during factory start-up.
  • Ensure adherence to the company's Health, Safety, Environment, Hygiene, and Animal Welfare policies.
  • Manage and close out all equipment failures, work orders, and PPM jobs.
  • Enter data into Holistech for parts used and jobs raised & completed.
  • Maintain housekeeping of all workshop areas, including stores, ensuring the department is audit-ready at all times.
  • Follow engineering handback procedures.
  • Ensure all work meets specifications and SHE & food safety standards.
  • Meet targets using appropriate technical support to address problems.
  • Maintain excellent timekeeping, attendance, and adherence to procedures.
  • Respond promptly to issues to minimize downtime, quality, and efficiency problems.
  • Use risk assessment techniques to ensure safety of plant, equipment, and personnel.
  • Support a culture of safety, quality, and environmental awareness, including animal welfare.
  • Demonstrate good behavioral and safety principles in all activities.
  • Strive to reduce costs while minimizing production downtime.
  • Be adaptable to shift patterns as required by the company.

Job Description:

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a multi-skilled engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out ongoing preventative and emergency maintenance work throughout the sites.

The shifts for this role are on a 4 on 4 off basis, involving 4 x 12-hour days (5:00 am – 5:00 pm) followed by 4 days off.

Applications from ex-military personnel are encouraged but all applications will be given due consideration.
