Job description

Multi-Skilled Engineer

Location: Wrexham

Salary: Up to £50k per annum

Shifts: 4 on 4 off - (Rotating Days & Nights)

Contract: Permanent

The Opportunity:

We're currently working with a leading manufacturer in the Wrexham area that is expanding its engineering team across multiple sites. As part of this growth, we're looking to appoint several Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical and electrical experience to take the next step in their career within a modern, well-invested manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  1. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to keep production running smoothly
  2. Responding to breakdowns and troubleshooting machinery issues to minimise downtime
  3. Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment and technologies
  4. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency gains
  5. Working closely with other departments to ensure consistent product quality and audit compliance
  6. Maintaining a strong focus on health and safety across all activities
  7. Contributing to technical projects and supporting training and development initiatives

What We're Looking For:

Must-Have:

  1. Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role, ideally within a fast-paced environment
  2. Qualified electrically or mechanically, or time-served with proven multi-skilled capability
  3. Strong fault-finding skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  4. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Nice to Have:

  1. Experience in food production, FMCG, or a highly regulated manufacturing setting
