Role Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Pangbourne
Role Purpose: Static Electrical Service engineer responsible for completing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual service tasks, PPMs, and reactive works.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate all building systems competently, effectively, and efficiently.
- Complete PPM and reactive tasks, updating the electronic workflow system accordingly.
- Ensure daily checks are completed, report defects via the FM helpdesk, and repair as necessary.
- Identify materials required for timely ordering and installation.
- Comply with statutory and company health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Record statutory inspections accurately within logbooks and ensure timely completion.
- Review and sign off on Specialist Service Provider worksheets, inspect work quality, and escalate recommendations to the Supervisor.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site, plant areas, workshops, stores, and rest areas.
- Provide emergency response standby as part of a call-out rota.
- Escalate urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager and respond to work interruptions, outages, or emergencies per SLA.
- Liaise with client representatives regarding maintenance and repair tasks.
The engineer will troubleshoot and work on various building systems, including:
- Three-phase and single-phase electrical systems
- Building Management Systems and electrical monitoring
- HVAC systems, air handling units, air conditioning, and chillers
- Pumps, motors, and VSDs
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
- BS 7671 18th edition
- C&G 2391 or equivalent
- PPM experience
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at all levels
- Proactive approach to achieving high standards
- Good IT and report writing skills
- Ability to work under pressure, remaining calm and delivering services within time constraints
- Experience with UPS and standby power systems
- LOTO experience
- HVAC experience (preferred but not essential)
- BMS and CAFM (Corrigo) knowledge (a bonus)
