Job summary

The Best Connection in Southall is seeking a experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to maintain reliability, safety and efficiency of production equipment in a food/logistics environment.

You'll carry out planned maintenance, respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and repair conveyors, pumps, motors, pneumatics and hydraulics. The role runs 2pm-10:30pm with weekend overtime possible and offers a pension and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Proven background in multi-skilled engineering.
• Experience in food or logistics sectors with short lead times and hygiene regulations.
• Locally based or able to drive due to site location.
• Flexible for weekend work/overtime.

• Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and support installation, commissioning and modification of equipment.
• Maintaining accurate engineering and maintenance records.

Job description

The Best Connection are currently looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our food manufacturing client in Southall. The successful candidate will have a strong combination of mechanical and electrical engineering skills and will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety and efficiency of various production equipment.

Your responsibilities would include, but not are limited to:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production and manufacturing equipment.
• Responding quickly and effectively to mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes to minimise production downtime.
• Carry out mechanical repairs, adjustments and equipment modifications.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems along with supporting the installation, commissioning and modification of new and existing equipment.
• Maintaining accurate engineering and maintenance records.

Working Hours:

Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm with occasional weekends/overtime.

Salary:

£40,000-£45,000 depending on experience.

What we are looking for:

• Candidates must have a proven background in multi-skilled engineering
• Candidates must have experience in either the food or logistics sectors, working in accordance with short-order lead times, strict manufacturing practices and hygiene regulations- specifically high risk environments.
• The ideal candidate should live locally or drive due to location of site.
• Candidates will ideally be flexible due to the potential for weekend work/overtime.
