About The Role

Shift: Rotating Days and Nights 4 on 4 off - 12 hour shifts

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing business at our state-of-the-art chilled food facility.

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with food packaging knowledge and experience to join our established Engineering Team. You will be experienced in working on various equipment including conveyors, heat sealers, netting and flow wrapping machines, coding and labelling machines.

You will be working closely with our Production Teams to pass on knowledge and collaborate to increase the efficiency of machines and allow Technical/Machine Operators to contribute actively to the performance of our lines, and reduce downtime.

About You

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a high volume, fast moving environment
• Formal Electrical qualifications in Engineering, i.e NVQ Level 3, Engineering Apprentice or Food and Drink Apprenticeship Standard
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude and outlook to internal and external stakeholders
• Experience of driving continuous improvement activities
• Experience in maintaining standard industry machinery including conveyor belt systems, bucket fillers and strapping machines.
• Working to British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards with regard to Hygiene and Cleanliness standards would be advantageous but not essential.
