Synergi Search & Select are working with a leading organisation in Newmarket to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer. This permanent opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineer with both mechanical and electrical expertise, looking to join a collaborative facilities and estates environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC, boilers, pumps, and generators.
  • Troubleshoot faults and deliver timely, effective solutions to minimise downtime.
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure equipment longevity and reliability.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns quickly and safely.
  • Liaise with contractors and service providers on installations and repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and work orders.
  • Keep up to date with industry advancements and evolving technologies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety procedures.
  • Support wider project activities including upgrades and system improvements.
  • Share technical knowledge and provide support to team members where needed.

About You:

  • NVQ Level 3, ONC, or BTEC Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Completed a relevant multi-skilled apprenticeship.
  • Demonstrable experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance, ideally within facilities or estate services.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Confident in diagnosing and resolving both mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a proactive, hands-on approach.
