About the Role:

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Salary:

£46,000 to £49,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus opportunities for further increases and progression, plus benefits

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 3 shift rotation (earlies, lates and nights) - early finishes on Fridays!

Location:

Commutable from Reading, Basingstoke, Andover, Newbury, Thatcham, Swindon and surrounding areas

Company:

We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work within a large factory, supporting maintenance of their fast-moving production machinery. Some members of the Engineering Team have been in their roles for 20+ years, and need someone who is a good team player and enjoys turning their hands to both mechanical and electrical duties but holding an electrical bias. The role would suit someone who is electrical trained or bias and looking to work within a great team and company with future opportunities to advance.

Responsibilities:
  • Support production machinery through reactive troubleshooting and repair tasks
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance
  • Participate in projects, new installations, and refurbishments
  • Work as part of a team of 2 Engineers on shift
Requirements:
  • Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship in Electrical or Multi Skilled Engineering
  • Experience in maintenance or service work within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Electrical Maintenance or Multi Skilled Maintenance background
  • Experience with conveyors, packaging, bearings, belts, 3 phase motors, sensors, inverters, relays, pneumatics, hydraulics, chains, gears, pumps, etc.
  • Friendly, adaptable, and proactive attitude
  • Keen to get hands dirty and work proactively
