Job summary

A leading industrial manufacturing company in Manchester is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with electrical bias. You will join a dedicated engineering team, ensuring planned preventative maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should have substantial experience in maintenance engineering and strong electrical fault-finding skills. This role offers a competitive salary of GBP55,000+, with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Qualifications

• A time-served apprenticeship or relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND).
• Previous maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Responding rapidly to breakdowns and diagnosing faults.
• Supporting machinery upgrades and new installations.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Requirements

• A time-served apprenticeship or relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND)
• Previous maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills
• Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics
• Experience with PLCs, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes is a bonus

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities

• Conducting planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Responding rapidly to breakdowns and diagnosing faults
• Carry out fault finding and upgrades to Allen Bradley PLCs
• Working across mechanical and electrical systems (bias considered)
• Supporting machinery upgrades and new installations
• Keeping accurate maintenance logs
• Participating in root cause analysis and ongoing improvement projects
• Providing on-call support on a rotating basis
