Engineering Technician - Brewery

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Technician to join our client's team at their brewery in Manchester. The facility includes various equipment such as boilers, compressors, pumps, packaging lines, CIP sets, grain handling systems, and control systems including push buttons and SCADA. Established since 1860, the site features a mix of old and new technology, with a focus on modernization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on-site, either directly or with contractors.
• Work as part of the maintenance team, focusing on process optimization and improvements.
• Conduct routine, planned, and preventative maintenance, maintaining accurate records.
• Participate in project work and Capex opportunities.
• Work hours are flexible, totaling 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Successful Candidate:

• Hold necessary trade qualifications (NVQ, Apprenticeship, HNC, 18th edition), preferably with an electrical bias.
• Be self-motivated, driven, and possess a strong work ethic.
• Experience with SCADA systems/PLCs is beneficial but not essential.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders.
• Be highly organized, motivated, and positive.
• Enjoy working within a small, friendly team.
• Report to the Head Brewer and collaborate closely with on-site brewers.
