A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join us on a prestigious contract in the City of London. This is a Monday - Friday opportunity working 08:00-17:00.

Purpose

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer at Smart Managed Solutions, your responsibilities include operating and managing engineering assets to support the business with minimal disruptions, managing reactive works, developing management tools for asset and building performance, and carrying out PPM, reactive, and breakdown works on electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, Generators, LV systems, and potentially HV systems.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Perform routine PPM on electrical and mechanical plant according to schedules and asset lists.
• Complete reactive tasks promptly and identify areas for improvement, including store and fabric-related issues.
• Quickly remedy plant faults and defects to ensure continuous service.
• Maintain adequate spares inventory and provide estimates for remedial works.
• Keep maintenance systems updated and ensure accurate closure of tickets.
• Complete all paperwork related to reactive and breakdown works promptly.
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for safe working practices.
• Build good working relationships with staff, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Supervise and monitor subcontractor work on site.
• Ensure tasks are completed with appropriate health and safety measures.
• Adhere to contractual KPIs/SLAs.
• Maintain a safe and healthy working environment, including PPE usage.

Education and Training

• Formally trained in electrical or mechanical engineering to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 2.
