Overview

Job title: Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrically Biased)

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £40,000-£50,000

Hours: Mon-Friday (7.30am - 4.30pm, 3.30pm finish on Friday)

Standby rota: 1 in 3 weeks (additional allowance applies)

An established and fast-paced food manufacturing business in the Liverpool area is looking to add an experienced Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Engineer to its site-based engineering team.

This is a great opportunity to join a company that values teamwork, takes pride in its site culture, and offers long-term progression. You\'ll be part of a small, collaborative team supporting a busy production site where no two days are the same.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery and site equipment
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults efficiently and safely
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects and minor installations
  • Using CMMS to update maintenance records and schedules
  • Working closely with contractors and internal teams
  • Upholding site safety standards and completing risk assessments
Qualifications
  • A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Good understanding of PLC logic and fault finding
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and a hands-on attitude
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and motion control is desirable
