Job summary

Multi-Trader is seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to support refurbishment projects across occupied and void residential properties in the South West and surrounding areas. The role focuses on stripping out and refurbishing existing accommodation, with hands-on work across multiple trades.

Typical duties include strip-out of kitchens and bathrooms, plastering, tiling, carpentry, non-gas plumbing, painting, and snagging.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in refurbishment and multi-trade roles.
• Ability to work across multiple trades on-site.
• Valid CSCS card and a full UK driving licence are required.
• DBS check clean; no gas or electrical qualifications required.

Responsibilities

• Strip-out of kitchens, bathrooms and internal finishes.
• Plastering and making good surfaces.
• Wall and floor tiling.
• Kitchen and bathroom fitting.
• Carpentry works (doors, frames, boxing-in, minor joinery).
• Minor plumbing works (non-gas).
• Painting and decorating.
• General snagging and finishing works.
• Ensure properties are clean, safe and ready for handover.

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing construction and refurbishment contractor delivering residential upgrade and maintenance projects across South London. Due to continued project wins, they are looking to appoint an experienced Multi Trade Operative to support refurbishment works across occupied and void residential properties.

The Role

This position focuses on stripping out and refurbishing existing accommodation, bringing properties back up to modern living standards. The work is varied and hands‑on, suited to someone confident working across multiple trades.

Typical duties will include:

• Strip‑out of existing kitchens, bathrooms and internal finishes
• Plastering and making good surfaces
• Wall and floor tiling
• Kitchen and bathroom fitting
• Carpentry works (doors, frames, boxing‑in, minor joinery)
• Minor plumbing works (non‑gas, non‑electrical)
• Painting and decorating
• General snagging and finishing works
• Ensuring properties are left clean, safe and ready for handover

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Multi Trade Operative or similar role
• Strong all‑round refurbishment experience
• Confident working independently and managing daily tasks on site
• Good finishing standards and attention to detail
• Full UK driving licence
• CSCS Card
• Clean DSB background check (No gas or electrical qualifications required.)
