Join Our Team as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer!

Aulds Bakeries and Aulds Delicious Desserts are long-standing, family‑run businesses producing high-quality bakery and dessert products from our Greenock and Inchinnan sites. We are looking for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team and support the continued reliability, efficiency and improvement of our production operations. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. You will play a key part in maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of equipment and systems that keep our sites running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding quickly to machinery breakdowns.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults across production equipment.
• Supporting site uptime by developing and following effective maintenance schedules.
• Maintaining and improving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control systems.
• Supporting the installation, commissioning and testing of new equipment.
• Working with the wider engineering and production teams to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Coordinating with external contractors where required for repairs, servicing and project work.
• Maintaining accurate engineering records, service documentation and maintenance logs.
• Ensuring all engineering activity is carried out safely and in line with health, safety, food safety and hygiene standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree, diploma, 18th edition or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong hands‑on experience in electrical fault finding, repair, and maintenance.
• Confident working with PLC systems, control panels, motors, and automation equipment.
• Able to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Background in food production, manufacturing, or another fast‑paced environment.
• Familiar with hydraulic, pneumatic, and compressed air systems.
• Attention to detail with excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
• A can‑do attitude with a hands‑on, team‑focused approach.
