Job summary

Kudos is seeking a highly competent Multi-skilled Engineer to join the South team on a full-time basis, covering sites in the London area with a mechanical or electrical bias and healthcare experience preferred.

You will carry out PPM and Reactive maintenance, ensure H&S/HTM compliance, and maintain critical systems such as lighting, lifts, and fire alarms while recording work in real time. A proactive, flexible approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to fault find, diagnose faults and implement effective fixes.
• Experience with maintaining critical building systems in line with HTM standards is desirable.
• Relevant safety certifications (IOSH/NEBOSH) are highly regarded.
• Multiskilled capability with both mechanical and electrical focuses is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform PPM tasks across Kudos' 17-site portfolio in the London area and complete records in real time.
• Carry out Reactive Maintenance to the required standards and contract parameters.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations, HTM and RAMS; observe permits.
• Provide RP/AP/CP duties as part of the operations team for electrical systems (HV/LV, lifts, emergency lighting, data systems, fire alarms).
• Deliver mechanical, electrical and fabric PPM per HTM-aligned guidelines and service levels.
• Proactively identify and implement solutions; maintain a flexible approach to duties.

Job description

• Hours: 40 Hours pw - Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm
• Location: London

Kudos is a well established Facilities Management company working within the Healthcare Sector to deliver a high-quality Facilities Management service to its client, and is looking to hire a highly competent Multi-skilled Engineer to join the South team on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will be multi-skilled with either Mechanical or Electrical bias and preferably have experience in working within a Healthcare environment, plus:

• NVQ Level 3 in specialist discipline, to current regulations (e.g. 18th Edition)
• IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent is highly desirable
• IPAF / PASMA would be beneficial
• Any HTM or AP training would be beneficial
• The technical ability to fault find, problem solve and diagnose issues.
• A flexible, proactive and adaptable approach, willing to seek and suggest solutions.
  

The Role

This role will be based across a number of sites within Kudos' 17 site portfolio, in and around the London Area. The individual will be responsible for the completion of assigned PPM tasks, ensuring these are completed on time with adequate record keeping, and the delivery of Reactive Maintenance to the required standard within the contractual obligations.

Duties of the role include:

• Working with H\& S compliance teams to ensure compliance with all Health and Safety Regulations, Statutory Obligations, HTM requirements, RAMS and Permits are fully observed, managed, and always adhered to.
• Awareness of Statutory Compliance requirements in line with HTM / Industry Standards.
• Provide RP/AP/CP duties as necessary as part of the Operational team for controlled specialist electrical system to include but not limited to - HV, LV, Lifts, Emergency lighting systems, Data systems, Fire alarm systems.
• To deliver mechanical, electrical and fabric PPM in accordance with the relevant guidelines and service levels, for example, SFG20 HTM aligned.
• To carry out Reactive Maintenance duties assigned by the Helpdesk, paying attention to contractual parameters and timeframes.
• To update and close tasks out in real time using the tablet provided.
