Multi-skilled Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled and versatile Multi-skilled Engineer to join our dedicated engineering team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and improving our production machinery and systems to ensure optimal operational performance.

Your primary responsibility will be to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems across various production lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background from a production environment, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. If you are motivated by continuous improvement and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of production equipment and machinery.
  2. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment faults in a timely manner.
  3. Perform upgrades and installations of new machinery and systems.
  4. Work closely with production teams to identify areas for improvement and increased efficiency.
  5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and machine performance.
  6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  7. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
Requirements
  1. Qualified engineer with a relevant mechanical or electrical qualification (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent).
  2. Proven experience in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
  3. Strong understanding of relevant engineering principles and practices.
  4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  6. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  7. Willingness to work flexible hours and participate in on-call cover as required.
  8. Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and standards is an advantage.
