Job description

About

We are currently looking for a multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join a well-established business based in the Gainsborough area. This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday, with a competitive salary between £45,000 to £50,000, depending on experience.

This position would suit a proactive and hands-on engineer with a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally from a manufacturing or production environment. An electrical bias is preferred, but a good understanding of mechanical systems is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a wide range of machinery and plant equipment
  • Responding to breakdowns and performing reactive maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults and identifying root causes to minimise downtime
  • Assisting with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations
  • Keeping accurate maintenance records and updating the CMMS system
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects
What We're Looking For
  • Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Sound electrical knowledge with mechanical competence
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive attitude with strong fault-finding skills
