Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company in Poole. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the efficiency and reliability of production equipment.

Role Details
  • Job Title: Multi-Skilled Engineer
  • Location: Poole
  • Salary: £51,800 per annum
  • Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time
  • Shift Pattern: Panama shift 12 hour days and nights
  • Department: Engineering
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure all engineering work meets safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Support production teams with technical expertise to maintain efficient operations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS system.
  • Work with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Follow engineering drawings and update documentation when necessary.
  • Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with company procedures.
Requirements
  • Recognised qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Level 3).
  • Experience working in a maintenance/engineering role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Good understanding of production processes and manufacturing equipment.
Desirable Skills
  • PLC knowledge (Siemens S7, Mitsubishi).
  • Experience with inverters, robotics, and safety regulations.
