Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer

Salary: GBP44,900 - GBP49,900

Contract: Panama Shift (phone number removed), Day Shift)

The Company

My client are a highly regarded food manufacturing PLC. The business operates across the UK from several, well invested manufacturing facilities, delivering a fantastic range of premium products.

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Shift Manager, you will work collaboratively within the engineering team, providing support in investigating means of improving plant productivity and also investigating and establishing causes for all breakdowns and damages. You will execute hands-on planned maintenance activities to agreed standards, ensuring safe working at all times, actioning any repairs and ensuring that all measures taken are recorded so recurrent faults can be recognised.

The Person

You will hold a NVQ level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering), have a strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in FMCG industry, be proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging equipment. You should have a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to ensuring the highest levels of equipment reliability, with a good understanding of HACCP principles. Ideally, IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations would be advantageous, along with excellent communication skills, a can-do attitude, and a strong work ethic.
