Job summary

MorePeople is recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer for a busy Corby food manufacturing site. You’ll work across automated processing and packaging equipment to keep production running smoothly and develop your skills within a supportive team.

You’ll join a long-standing operation with investment in its facilities. The role offers a Panama shift pattern (days and nights) with every other weekend off, overtime at enhanced rates, and a strong focus on safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of automated production, process or packaging equipment would be advantageous.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of safe working practices within a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding and repairing electrical and mechanical breakdowns across a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.
• Working on a variety of equipment including conveyors, processing machinery, weighers, bagging equipment and automated production lines.
• Supporting production teams to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
• Using the CMMS to record maintenance activities and equipment history.
• Identifying recurring faults and helping implement long-term engineering solutions.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that drive performance across the site.
