Multiskilled Engineers | Chichester Food Park | Salary: £40,000-£49,000 depending on experience | Plus Shift Allowance | Excellent Benefits

Natures Way Foods is a leading manufacturer of prepared salads, coleslaw, and "food-to-go" products for supermarkets and retailers. We operate four manufacturing facilities capable of producing over 326 million units annually. As we expand our production lines, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills and grow within our organization.

We are seeking talented Engineers to join our expanding team at Chichester Food Park, West Sussex. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be part of a team managing and maintaining state-of-the-art production technology in the food industry.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily maintenance and improvements on plant, assets, and services.
  • Utilize engineering systems and processes effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and H&S standards.
  • Complete PPM tasks and suggest maintenance improvements.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment faults promptly.
  • Identify and eliminate faulty processes proactively.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality and GMP.
  • Act as a shift leader and go-to person on shift.
  • Manage budget and stock control, and maintain shift documentation.
  • Ensure safety and operational standards of buildings, plant, and equipment.
  • Complete shift metrics and escalate issues as needed.
Candidate Requirements
  • Manufacturing experience (desirable).
  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical knowledge, with willingness to learn more.
  • Relevant engineering qualification, minimum Level 3 NVQ or equivalent.
  • Ability to work efficiently and at pace.
  • Team player with collaborative approach.
  • Good communication skills across departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • IT literate, familiar with CMMS systems.
