Scantec Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading FMCG manufacturing business at their flagship Cardiff site to assist in their recruitment for a Multi Skilled Engineer on a continental 3on, 3off pattern.

The Multi-skilled Engineer role is a fast-paced position that involves working as part of a cross-functional maintenance team. You will provide multi-skilled engineering support and first-line maintenance for the site, covering both mechanical and electrical tasks, including breakdowns, fault finding, and scheduled maintenance activities. Your goal will be to ensure that manufacturing equipment is maintained and available for use, with continuous monitoring and process improvements.
Work schedule: 3 days on, 3 days off, with shifts covering days and nights, from 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am.
There is lots of overtime available.
The role:
As a Multi-skilled Engineer, you will perform planned maintenance and support breakdowns across all areas of the site, including service facilities. You will develop an understanding of how these facilities impact plant operations, aiming to ensure the site runs at maximum capacity through quality engineering, maximizing equipment availability, and minimizing downtime.

Required Skills & Experience:
Candidates should have similar engineering experience and hold relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical disciplines. Experience in manufacturing environments is preferred.
