Job description

JOB TITLE: Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias)

LOCATIONS: Amazon LCY2, Tilbury

SHIFT PATTERN: Monday Friday, 07.00 - 15.30

SALARY: £44,000 per annum

Role Overview And Purpose

Electrically biased trades person based on site undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) & reactive works, works will range from minor plumbing defects, cleaning AC filters and repairs to building fabric.

Key Responsibilities

  1. To carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Manager. Including, but not limited to fault finding, test, repair and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment; and other electrical duties in support of the rest of the team.
  2. Duties will also include carrying out various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
  3. To close/update completed PPM tasks on the site computerised maintenance system.
  4. Ensure engineering standards are maintained in order to maximise the operation effectiveness and reliability of the plant and associated systems.
  5. To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects.
  6. Ensure Company & Site, Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
  7. Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works.
  8. To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-outs/repairs as required, and requested by management.
  9. Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner.
  10. To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.

Required Skills And Experience

  1. City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation / Maintenance.
  2. Must have DBS Clearance.
  3. City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE.
  4. Time served apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  5. A demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering.
  6. Customer service.
  7. Smart appearance, presentable.
  8. Logical thinker in fault finding situations.
  9. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  10. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Comfortable working within a team environment. Able to contribute to group success whilst willingly following instructions of others.
  12. Able to work unsupervised.
  13. Self-motivated and an ability to self-generate reactive tasks.
  14. Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change.
  15. Customer focused.

Desirable

IPAF, PASMA

Knowledge and use of computer software Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems.

HVAC & Building Services Engineering experience.
