Job Title: Multi-skilled Carpenter (Glazing Experience)

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a highly skilled Multi-skilled Carpenter with glazing experience to join our Property Maintenance team. In this role, you will deliver responsive repairs to our housing stock and corporate buildings, ensuring high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assess problems, identify required work, and determine appropriate corrective measures efficiently.
  2. Work within tight deadlines while maintaining a clean, tidy, and proficient work environment.
  3. Maintain high standards of customer care and adhere to Health and Safety protocols.
  4. Utilize your skills and knowledge of building crafts to deliver effective repairs.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in domestic maintenance and detailed knowledge of building crafts.
  • Preferably experience working within social housing.
  • Technical knowledge and excellent customer service skills.
  • Full driving license.
Additional Requirements
  • Fluency in English (required for customer-facing roles).
  • Flexibility to work 37 hours per week, covering core hours between 6am and 10pm.
