Job summary

Platform Property Care, part of Platform Housing Group, is seeking an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter to cover Bromyard, Ledbury, Malvern and surrounding areas. You will focus on carpentry while delivering Voids Refurbishments in social housing.

Working in customers' homes requires strong communication, reliability, and a drive to complete works right first time. A full driving licence is essential for this mobile role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent.
• Experience as Carpenter or multi-skilled Carpenter.
• Experience working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council.
• Has a full current valid driving licence (mobile role).
• DBS check required for working in customers' homes.

Responsibilities

Platform Property Care need an experienced Multi Skill Trades Carpenter based in Bromyard, Ledbury, Malvern and the surrounding area to join our talented Repairs & Maintenance team and help us maintain and improve our homes, ensuring our customer's homes are maintained and repaired to a great standard.

You will be a Multi Skill Trades Carpenter and carpentry will be your focus, but experience in other trades is an advantage, as you will be delivering Voids Refurbishments.

The role is varied. No two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers along the way. It's a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you'll have the support of a great team.

We want somebody who can:

A team player, you'll be hard working and keen to learn with a can-do attitude. You'll be working in people's homes, so you'll need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills. You'll also need to be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right first time.

We want someone who has:

• NVQ L2 Carpentry
• Experience of working as a Carpenter in the building trade either as a Carpenter or as a multi-skilled Carpenter
• Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council
• Associated trade skills of plumbing, plaster patching, decorating and wall tiling
• Experience of delivering multi-trade workGood organisational skills
• Experience of keeping jobs on track
• The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently
• Good IT Skills. Experienced using a PDA. Experience of using Microsoft and Outlook email.
• Full current valid driving Licenceessential as this is a mobile role
• As you will be working within Customer's homes this role requires a DBS check.

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out of hours rota, which is required.

This role is for a team covering Voids in the following towns so you will need to live close to or in these areas: Hereford, Bromyard, Ledbury, Malvern & Tewkesbury.
