Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g. BTEC, ONC).
• Proven experience in FMCG maintenance engineering, ideally within food production.
• Strong fault-finding skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure.
• Knowledge of HACCP and ideally the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Rapidly respond to breakdowns, identify faults, and reduce operational disruption.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety, Quality, and Food Safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and handovers.
• Use Pirana CMMS to monitor and optimise equipment performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Shifts: 4 on / 4 off | 12-hour night shifts

Compass Point Recruitment is partnering with a well-established FMCG manufacturing business to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer for their busy and dynamic production site in Diss.

Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently
• Rapidly respond to breakdowns, identify faults, and reduce operational disruption
• Ensure all work is completed to Health & Safety, Quality, and Food Safety standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and handovers
• Use Pirana CMMS to monitor and optimise equipment performance
• Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and foster teamwork within the factory

What We're Looking For:
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g. BTEC, ONC)
• Proven experience in FMCG maintenance engineering, ideally within food production
• Strong fault-finding skills and a calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure
