Job summary

ADM seeks an Area Health & Safety Manager UK to lead H&S and Process Safety across multiple sites, partnering with regional leaders to embed a sustainable safety culture and compliant operations.

The role requires strategic leadership, incident investigations, risk management, audits, and frequent UK travel, with a focus on preventing serious injuries and fostering continuous improvement within a world‑leading nutrition company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant experience in Health & Safety or Leadership roles within a high-risk industrial environment.
• Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop both direct and matrix teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic H&S leadership; act as senior H&S leader to regional leadership.
• Lead UK Area H&S organization across multiple locations with direct and dotted-line teams.
• Monitor, analyze, and report H&S/Process Safety performance; drive continuous improvement.
• Guide investigations of major incidents and SIF events; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support audits, regulatory interactions, risk management, and capital projects.
• Develop training programs and strengthen regional safety culture.
• Sponsor regional safety initiatives and develop standards and procedures.
• Promote ADM values and a culture of safety, integrity and excellence.
