Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an Area Support Officer to provide flexible security cover across multiple client sites around Colne. You will monitor activity, conduct patrols, maintain logs, respond to incidents, and support operational continuity through flexible deployment across designated sites.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid SIA licence and BS7858 vetting, with Right to Work in the UK and a driving licence (own vehicle preferred).

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work in the UK and be able to pass BS7858 vetting.
• Valid SIA Licence.
• UK Driving licence and use of own vehicle.
• Confident computer literacy and ability to operate security systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and vigilance in a busy environment.
• Professional approach with high presentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional security cover across multiple client sites, ensuring a consistently high standard of service delivery.
• Conduct regular site patrols and inspections in accordance with assignment instructions and site-specific procedures.
• Monitor premises visually and via CCTV systems, responding to alarms, incidents, and security alerts.
• Record vehicle movements, visitor access, contractor attendance, and all site activities, maintaining accurate logs and daily occurrence records.
• Ensure access control procedures are followed in line with site requirements and security protocols.
• Maintain accurate security records, incident reports, and operational documentation.
• Deliver flexible support across multiple locations, adapting to varying environments and operational requirements.
