Job summary

Line Up Aviation seeks a Minor Works Project Manager for an initial 6-month contract to oversee a portfolio of small to medium capital and operational projects across the regional estate, up to £100,000 each. You will deliver end-to-end from feasibility through commissioning, working across Filton, Bristol and Newport.

Role requires CDM 2015, security clearance (BPSS), and the ability to travel between sites. 35 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with umbrella pay of £44.05 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience managing minor works or building services projects in live commercial or industrial environments.
• Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance
• Understanding of building services (HVAC, electrical distribution, public health) and fabric maintenance/refurbishment techniques
• Proven capability to juggle 10-20 fast turnaround low complexity projects simultaneously across 2 sites
• Valid UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between Filton, Bristol and Newport weekly

Responsibilities

• Lead a concurrent portfolio of minor works projects (individual values up to £100k) across Filton, Bristol, and Newport.
• Ensure adherence to CDM 2015 regulations, building control, and internal quality metrics.
• Manage project finances, including scope definition, contractor tendering, cost estimation, budget tracking, change control, and final account settlements.
• Supervise external consultants, subcontractors, and main contractors enforcing strict performance, safety, and quality controls.
• Act as Principal Designer/Principal Contractor manager under CDM where required; oversee site safety files, RAMS, permits to work, and site induction procedures.
• Maintain a structured presence across Filton, Bristol, and Newport facilities, establishing uniform project delivery processes across all locations.
