Job summary

Partou UK is seeking a Lead Maintenance Engineer to oversee maintenance services across nursery sites in the North region. You will lead Maintenance Partners, ensure safe environments for children and staff, and act as the first escalation point for technical issues.

Responsibilities include coordinating contractors, conducting inspections, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. Candidates should have a relevant technical qualification and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification in building maintenance, engineering, or related trade.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Health & Safety awareness training (IOSH etc.).
• PAT testing certification (Desirable).
• Asbestos training to undertake annual reviews (Desirable).
• Fire Door Inspection Certification (FireQual) (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance across nursery sites and lead Maintenance Engineers across regions.
• Coordinate and manage contractors, ensuring safe systems of work.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support PPM scheduling.
• Ensure statutory compliance and health & safety standards.
• Provide cost-saving recommendations to reduce travel and carbon footprint.
