Job summary

Silcom Recruitment is seeking a Regional Dealership Accountant based in Banbury, covering Oxford and Swindon, to support a team of five across three dealership sites.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and schedules for each site, and analyse performance across sales, service and parts to explain variances and support decisions.

Motor trade experience essential. Basic salary £60,000 plus £6,000 bonus and a company car. Monday to Friday, 8:00–18:00.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts for three car dealership sites, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
• Produce profit and loss reports, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules for each site.
• Analyse performance across sales, service and parts departments, highlighting variances against budgets and forecasts.
• Work closely with dealership management to explain financial results, identify opportunities to improve profitability and support informed business decisions.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, monitoring costs and investigating significant variances.
• Oversee month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, journals and intercompany reconciliations.
