Monday to Friday, any 8 hours between 6am and 10pm. What will you deliver?
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Site Maintenance and Security: Open and close school premises daily, ensuring all buildings are secure. Monitor and maintain security systems (alarms, CCTV, locks, etc.). Conduct routine checks to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the site.
- Cleaning and Hygiene: Perform light cleaning duties and coordinate with cleaning staff to ensure high hygiene standards throughout the school. Ensure toilets, classrooms, and communal areas are kept clean and well-stocked.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Carry out basic repairs (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, painting, replacing lightbulbs). Report and coordinate with contractors for major repairs. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all fire exits, alarms, and extinguishers are regularly checked and maintained. Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments. Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Groundskeeping: Keep outdoor areas clean, tidy, and safe (e.g., sweeping paths, clearing snow, leaf removal). Oversee maintenance of gardens, lawns, and play areas.
Requirements:
- A Full UK Driving Licence holder
- Experience required in a trade or similar role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to prioritise and work independently
- Able to use own initiative
