Job summary

Sodexo in West Yorkshire is seeking a General Services Manager to lead integrated facilities management with a focus on catering, cleaning, security and workplace services. You’ll manage a diverse team, drive service excellence, and build strong client relationships while controlling budgets and ensuring compliance.

With a proactive leadership style, you’ll monitor performance, recruit and develop staff, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and client satisfaction on site.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience within facilities management or multi-service environment.
• Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness with budgeting experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
• Experience managing compliance, health and safety, audits and quality standards.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach to operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of integrated facilities management services across the site.
• Inspire, develop, and support a diverse team to perform at a high level.
• Build strong client and stakeholder relationships as the main on-site contact.
• Drive operational excellence across catering, cleaning, security and workplace services.
• Own financial performance by managing budgets and controlling costs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety, and statutory standards.
• Monitor performance via audits, KPIs and customer feedback and implement improvements.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management.
• Identify opportunities to grow the business and enhance client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with department managers for seamless day-to-day operations.
