Oldham Council invites a Specialist Teacher for Children and Young People with a Multi-Sensory Impairment to join the Sensory and Physical Support Service. You will provide specialist teaching, guidance to CYP and families, and cross-agency collaboration to support MSI across settings.

The role requires a qualified teacher with MSI credentials or willingness to train within 3 years, excellent communication, and the ability to work across borough schools using a car.

Competenze

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with CYP, families and professionals.
• Direct teaching and specialist advice to CYP with MSI.
• Experience in a special school is desirable.

Mansioni

• Provide specialist advice, guidance and direct teaching to CYP, schools/settings, families and other agencies with respect to MSI.
• Work collaboratively with service staff, school staff, families, pupils and other professionals.
• Deliver and facilitate training for staff in schools and other agencies on MSI awareness and skills.
• Plan and deliver interventions for children with varied learning needs and styles.
