Job description

A permanent Multi-Modal Freight Forwarder position is available with a freight forwarding company based in Dyce. The role reports to the Freight Forwarding and Customs Manager and requires previous experience in a similar capacity. The ideal candidate will be a confident, proactive individual, capable of meeting deadlines within a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with clients, suppliers, and colleagues through phone, email, and face-to-face communication.
  • Preparing and handling freight quotations.
  • Organising and overseeing collections and deliveries.
  • Working within an office-based Freight and Customs Operations Team.
  • Monitoring shipment progress and providing clients with regular status updates.
  • Performing customs control checks on documentation.
  • Preparing necessary customs declarations.
  • Arranging import and export shipments via air, courier, land, and sea.
  • Managing job file administration professionally and promptly, from file opening and job processing to issuing the final sales invoice.
