Job description

Job Title: Multi Modal Freight Forwarding Coordinator
Location: Manchester Freight Terminal, Manchester Airport

Our client is a Multi Modal international freight forwarder providing comprehensive supply chain solutions. They add value through a bespoke personal approach, a global network, and professional expertise.

We are now recruiting for a Multi Modal Freight Forwarding Coordinator at their Manchester location.

In this role, you will work within the air and sea freight teams, handling bookings, quotes, and all aspects of air and sea freight documentation. You will liaise with airlines and shipping lines to secure the best rates and book shipments.

Your responsibilities will include liaising with customers, arranging collections and deliveries, completing customs entries and clearances, using CDS, dealing with overseas agents, and general office administration.

Applicants should have experience in freight forwarding operations, ideally with both air and sea freight. Experience with a freight forwarder in a busy department is preferred. However, candidates with experience in only one mode are encouraged to apply, as training can be provided.

Excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to work under pressure, flexibility, good PC skills, and attention to detail are essential.
