Job summary

Nexstar Media in the United Kingdom is seeking a Multi Media Reporter / Anchor to present news content across platforms. You will produce, report, shoot, write, voice, edit, and feed news content in a clear and engaging way for all audiences.

You will arrange interviews, enterprise stories daily, and use live shots, graphics, and social media to tell compelling stories. Strong editing and writing skills are essential, with a focus on accuracy and editorial standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communication/Journalism or related field
• Three years television anchoring or reporting experience
• OBS and VMIX knowledge preferred
• ENG experience required
• Strong reading, writing, spelling and grammar skills
• Excellent vocal delivery and camera presence
• Understanding of social media importance
• Teamwork and cooperation with station personnel

Responsibilities

• Produce content for TV, internet and mobile platforms
• Produce an OBS style newscast
• Arrange interviews and shoots; experience with non-linear editing

Job description

The Multi Media Reporter / Anchor serves as the primary presenter of news stories and other content. Reporter/Anchor produces, reports, shoots, writes, voices, edits and feeds news production content for all platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging and meaningful to news consumers.

Job Responsibilities

• Produce content for multiple platforms, including TV, internet, mobile, etc.
• Produce an OBS style newscast.
• Arrange interviews, shots video, and experience with non-linear editing.
• Work with management to enterprise and develop stories daily
• Demonstrate compelling storytelling using dynamic live shots and stand-ups, creative graphics, and use of digital and social media platforms
• Organize material, determine angle or emphasis, and write story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards
• Gather and verify information regarding stories through interview, observation and research.
• Build network of sources who supply information that allows the Company to stay ahead of its competitors
• Writes stories for the web and other eMedia platforms
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Communication/Journalism or related degree required (equivalent years of experience may substitute for education
• Three (3) years television anchoring or reporting experience required
• Knowledge of OBS and VMIX is preferred.
• Electronic News Gathering (ENG) experience required
• Solid vocal delivery, camera presence, and clear enunciation
• Strong reporting skills
• Understand importance of social media
• Excellent reading, writing, spelling, grammar and organizational skills
• Promotes teamwork and maintains attitude of cooperation with all station personnel
